Another batter bread, so basically another cake. I'm not complaining one bit. All of these breads have been extremely easy and quick to make, come together perfectly, and taste excellent. This one is loaded with maple syrup, if you couldn't tell from the name of it, but it also has some weird ingredients: buttermilk and sour cream. Mixing all of these together was definitely the grossest concoction I've made in my life; I was not expecting it.
This bread, even though it has a bunch of 100% maple syrup (not the diluted stuff we all buy) isn't actually very sweet, and I love it for that. It's got a blast of sweetness as an after taste, but the whole loaf is very moist and solid. It doesn't taste like any of the buttermilk or sour cream; I think they were there just for the smoothness and leavening. Overall I really like this one, although the weird ingredients that you need make it kind of a hassle to make regularly.
