This bread is so delicious. Incredible sandwich bread and I bet it would make some great toast. It was very easy to make and yet again we got to use our favorite ingredient: buttermilk! It was your basic bread with two rises and some kneading going on. I'm okay with a nice easy bread that is hard to mess up.
To get that glorious brown crunch on top I just used a basic egg wash and threw some sesame seeds on that dirty dog. I cut off slice of this bread and thought it was delicious. My friends Shawn and Michael each made sandwiches with it and suddenly half the loaf was gone. That's a good sign! Must have done something right!
I'm not a huge fan of buttermilk, but this bread is choice. I'll definitely be making it again just to make sandwiches out of. It doesn't take very long to make and it's really easy to knead and deal with. Overall I would recommend this loaf!
